      Frequent Questions

      Is Synbiotic+ right for me?

Synbiotic+ is a 3-in-1 clinically-studied prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotic to support a balanced gut microbiome.*

Probiotics are only able to stay in the gut for a few days or weeks at a time, and consistent use can help support the benefits (hello gut health, digestive health, and immune health) of the clinically studied probiotic strains.*

What testing do you complete for Synbiotic+?

Each batch of Synbiotic+ is tested for identity, purity, strength, and composition so we can be sure that what’s on the label is what’s in the capsules. We also complete third-party testing to ensure our products are compliant with regulations and guidelines for heavy metals, microbes, and major allergens and to help assure the quality and safety of our products.

Additionally, we conducted a scientific study for Synbiotic+®, our daily 3-in-1 gut support supplement featuring prebiotics, probiotics, and a postbiotic designed to support gut, digestive, and immune health.*

What is the packaging made from?

The current packaging is made from mixed materials, including polypropylene for the bottle and 100% PCR polypropylene for the cap. The bottles are not currently recyclable due to their mixed materials, but we are continually looking for updated formats that allow us to deliver a fresh product in a sustainable format.

Additionally, your first month is shipped in a recyclable box, and recurring orders are shipped in mailers made from 100% recycled content (the paper used to make our mailers is 100% garbage-repurposed newsprint and plant fibers). Any collateral included is also made of 100% recycled materials.

What can I expect while taking Synbiotic+?

When first starting, your gut microbiome may need time to adjust. You may experience side effects such as minor gas, bloating, or stomach rumbling, which should subside with ongoing use. Consult your healthcare professional if symptoms continue after two weeks.

That said, like any new diet change, by constant use, the body will begin to acclimate to the introduction of daily prebiotics, probiotics, and a postbiotic. Probiotics are only able to stay in the gut for a few days/weeks at a time. Consistent use helps support the benefits of the clinically studied probiotic strains.*

Can I take Synbiotic+ if I am pregnant or nursing?

Synbiotic+ has been evaluated in a safety study to be safe for use by pregnant and nursing women. However, we recommend that you consult your healthcare practitioner before using if you are pregnant or nursing.

      About our Colon Model Study

We partnered with ProDigest in Belgium—one of the leading experts in vitro simulations of the gastrointestinal tract—to conduct a study modeling the human colon. This allowed us to measure the physiological impact of Synbiotic+.

      About our SHIME® Study

The Simulator of the Human Intestinal Microbial Ecosystem (SHIME®) model is a scientifically advanced in vitro model representing the physiological conditions of the upper gastrointestinal tract. Our study was also conducted in partnership with ProDigest in Belgium.
